I have multiple Colts, two Ed Browns and two Dan Wessons, a 9mm Guardian and CCO. The next 1911 I buy will be a Wesson V-Bob if that tells you anything. Love my Browns but no way a bobtail Brown is worth $1000 more than a V-Bob. All of my recent Colts have been sent off for "improvements" as was a Les Baer.

Trouble is the Wilson finish, like cerokote, is not as durable to holster. Whereas nitride is durable to wear but cannot handle CLP. My opinion is the best option is an ionbond coating like DLC, which is durable re: wear and is fine with CLP. Fast is fine, but accuracy is final. Thanks to all for the input.
