So I checked the voltage of the battery with a multimeter. Around 12v regardless of engine start or off. I don't know whether the result is because of the low battery or the alternator.It can fray or corrode at the connector. Use a jumper wire to apply 12V from the battery to the small solenoid terminal. If you get a crank, the starter is good. Touch the red probe to the + battery terminal - not the battery post! and touch the black probe to the - terminal. You should have between 13-14V. The way it's supposed to be done is a 3x drain and fill. Rather than do 3x drain and fills every 30-35K, most here just do one drain and fill every other oil change.
