The Staccato XC was amazing, the slide was ridiculous and it shot extremely flat. The P has a heavier recoil spring so the slide isn't buttery like the XC, but still smooth. I'm going to go with the XC again just based on my past experience with it. Unabashedly in part due to aesthetics as well.

I'm a fan of well done grips, the stock grip in my opinion was sub par especially since I have well over 12 guns with STI's Costa or DVC grips. They are done for STI by Extreme Shooters. First some caveats. I only have like 500 rounds through this staccato and this is the third range trip with it. I've shot way more through my glocks and other glocks but I've also shot a considerable amount through other various platforms including 1911's, CZ's, and other 2011.

If you don't want to wait that long and have the cash to spend, then it would be worth it.Changing the recoil spring makes a huge difference. Because the compensator deflects some of the force, you can go a lot lighter and still be quite reliable. I tried a 7 pound spring but it felt sluggish in the return. 8 or 9 pounds is the sweet spot. No reliability issues with any ammo. The P is a four pound trigger.
